About us

The founders of LANO – a father with his two sons, smiling in suits in front of a board with the LANO logo.

In 2007, we began an extraordinary journey in the world of wood by founding a company called "Lano Meble". The dream of a father, fascinated by the art of carpentry, quickly turned into a family business, with his sons joining in the creation of unique and solid children’s beds. From the very beginning, Lano Meble was for us a place where passion and craftsmanship came together in harmony. The family business began in a small workshop, where, together with our sons, full of enthusiasm and dedication, we crafted our very first wooden children’s beds.

The first LANO workplace – a small sheet-metal workshop, exterior shot in a winter setting.

From the start, we placed great emphasis on intergenerational cooperation, which allowed us not only to produce solid furniture but also to build a lasting foundation for our family company. Each of us contributed something special to the projects, giving our products a distinctive character. Our beds were not just everyday items, but true works of carpentry art, radiating passion and attention to detail. Together we experienced successes and challenges, with each of us bringing unique skills and ideas to the business.

Over the years, "Lano Meble" grew and expanded its reach across the country and into many European markets. Our products were recognised by customers, and we continuously broadened our offer by adding new designs and creative solutions. Quality and aesthetics have always been our priorities, which has made us one of the leading manufacturers of wooden children’s beds.

Production hall – numerous pallets with pine boards.

But the dream of running a business does not always run smoothly. One day, after many years of hard work, an unexpected tragedy struck. A fire on 23.11.2017 destroyed our workshop, wiping out not only our workplace and our products but also part of our memories and history. It was a moment that tested our strength and determination. Instead of giving in to despair, we chose to look ahead and unite our efforts. Rebuilding was not only about restoring the buildings, but also about reviving the spirit of the company. The solidarity of our employees and strong bonds enabled us to start again despite the difficulties. Mutual support helped us overcome the hardships as one LANO family, together with our staff.

Night shot – only the black silhouette of the hall is visible, illuminated by a large fire behind it. A man in jacket and hat stands with his back to the camera in front of the burned-out hall. Interior photo of the burned-out hall – no roof, blackened walls, muddy floor from firefighting water.

During the rebuilding process, a new vision for LANO emerged. We focused on even higher quality by introducing innovative technologies and ecological solutions. We created not only new products but also a community of employees for whom working at LANO means being part of a shared history.

Today, looking back on all these years, we are proud of what we have achieved. LANO is not just a furniture company, it is a story in which every element matters. Our wooden children’s beds are not just furniture – they are a manifestation of our passion, our hard work, and our ability to turn challenges into opportunities. We are ready for many more years of creating, inspiring others, and dreaming of beautiful, durable furniture for the little ones.

LANO – where passion and love for wood meet attention to detail.
